Indonesian media confirm Justin Bieber is coming to Jakarta for a concert on October 10

We at Coconuts Jakarta are not exactly the biggest fans of the Biebs, but when the, arguably, biggest recording artist in the world today is coming for a concert in our city, we are basically obligated to let you know.

Indonesian media outlets, such as CNN Indonesia, Tribun and Detik are today reporting that Justin Bieber is coming to perform in Jakarta on October 10. This confirmation comes after weeks of rumors that the Biebs would be making a stop in Jakarta during his current world tour.

Despite Jakarta not being listed as a tour destination on Bieber’s official website yet, it has been widely reported that the concert will take place at Ancol Park in North Jakarta and that pre-sale tickets will become available starting July 30, followed by regular sales starting August 6.

Jakarta will reportedly be Bieber’s last show on the Asian leg of his ongoing ‘Purpose’ tour, after Tokyo, Hong Kong, Santa Maria, and Singapore.

Bieber came under criticism from some local fans back in 2012 when he referred to Indonesia as some “random country”, but later apologized to his fans. So we’re sure there will be plenty of Beliebers (ugh) flocking to see his show come October.
