Indonesian fans fill Japanese adult film star Maria Ozawa’s inbox with 500 emails a day

Despite our country’s strict Internet Positif censorship system that blocks pornographic content from reaching our delicate citizenry (while also pushing male enhancement pills), there are still plenty of adult film fans in Indonesia. For example, earlier this year, Pornhub.com reported that Indonesians were one of the fastest growing segments of mobile visitors to their site.

And we can now surmise that one of their top search terms was for Japanese adult film star Miyabi aka Maria Ozawa, who says Indonesian fans inundate her inbox everyday with emails.

Talking to a reporter from Tribunnews in Tokyo, Ozawa said she receives about 500 emails from her fans in Indonesia every single day.

“Thank you so much to all the fans from Indonesia for all of the attention they give me. I read every [email]. But because of how busy I am, I’m sorry I’m not able to answer them one by one,” the 29-year-old actress said.

Miyabi said that most of the emails are from men looking for a date, a girlfriend and even marriage.

“I appreciate all of them. However, I do note the seriousness of offers.  Who knows, perhaps I can one day work in Indonesia as a photo model for an advertising company, making a film or so forth, so I can visit Indonesia comfortably,”  she said.

Ozawa might have been referring to the fact that she almost worked in Indonesia once, back in 2010, to film a part in the movie “Menculik Miyabi” (“Kidnapping Miyabi”). The movie was supposed to be a comedy about an Indonesian fan kidnapping Ozawa when she visited Jakarta, but news of the adult film star coming to Indonesia to film her scenes set off vehement protests by the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI), who made violent threats against her and ultimately forced her to cancel her trip. The movie was eventually made, with a greatly changed plot and Ozawa only starring in a few scenes filmed in Japan.

Ironically, that whole incident no doubt raised her profile greatly in Indonesia, which would probably explain why she has so many Indonesian fans writing her now.
