Deddy Corbuzier, Indonesian magician-turned-TV personality, announced his indefinite, out-of-the-blue hiatus from his hugely popular podcast and social media today.

In an Instagram post, the 44-year-old celebrity wrote that he will be taking some time off from social media, podcast, and even WhatsApp “for some reason,” not providing specific details or reasoning in his announcement. The comment section was also disabled on his post.

“Even in the sheath the sword must be sharp – so too must the mind and the spirit be within the body,” Deddy cryptically quoted a Viking saying in his caption, perhaps implying fatigue to be the reason for his hiatus.

While we wish for Deddy’s wellbeing during his online absence, the news might come as a relief for those who aren’t fans of his hugely popular podcast, The Joe Rogan Podcast Close The Door, is infamous for providing a platform for controversial guests.

Let us know your thoughts about Deddy’s hiatus in the comments section or via social media, Coconauts. We’d love to hear from you.
