If you’ve traveled much by plane you’ve probably found yourself aboard a flight with a crying baby. As frustrating a situation as that can be, we’d recommend you be careful about venting about it on social media, lest you end up like this Indonesian actress.
Sinetron (soap opera) actress Angela Gilsha recently posted an Instagram story that showed her sitting in an airplane seat along with the controversial caption, “I’d agree more with allowing pets inside the airplane cabin rather than babies”.
But just a short time after posting the story, the 24-year-old actress took it down.
After the deleted Instagram story was reposted on various gossip accounts, Angela got varying degrees of outrage from netizens, particularly parents. Many warned her that she might be a mother someday and so she should be more sympathetic.
Comedian Babe Cabita, who recently became a father, seemingly threw shade on Angela’s story by mentioning his own baby, whom he nicknamed Bambino.
“The artist I look up to, Bambino sends his regards,” Babe wrote in the Instagram story, tagging Angela’s account.

“Taking Bambino mudik (going back to his hometown) by plane, but in case anyone gets annoyed by his cries on the airplane, I’ll just put him in a suitcase like the video I just posted on my Instagram,” Babe said, referencing a video in which he jokingly put his baby son in his luggage.
Angela later clarified and apologized, saying that her annoyance led her to make the comment. Babe also clarified through an Instagram story that the baby Angela had complained about was not his and he had just taken offense as a fellow parent, but he also noted that he had already accepted her apology.
“Please don’t be disappointed with me. I apologize for the mistake I made because of my emotions. The baby who was sitting behind me crying loudly from the beginning of the flight until landing, I was angered so I posted that [Instagram] story. […] I promise not to repeat this kind of behavior again and I took this as a lesson,” Angela wrote in a message, published by gossip account Lambe Turah.
She said her frustration was gone after seeing the face of the infant’s mother, who seemed to be stressed out.
