Although he’s only 24 years old, McBriare Samuel Lanyon “Mac” DeMarco has already become one of Canada’s best known musical exports. A singer-songwriter known for his “slacker rock” style, bizarre music videos and lively stage performances, he’s earned a loyal following and critical praise, including being nominated for Canada’s prestigious Polaris Music Prize just last year.
DeMarco is hitting Jakarta before heading to Singapore’s Laneway Festival. Opening for him will be one of Jakarta’s best homegrown indie musicians, Jirapah.
