Hear Addie MS’ Twilite Orchestra play Star Wars, Indiana Jones themes in tribute to John Williams (February 20)

Even if you don’t know who John Williams is, you can probably instinctively hum along to his world-famous film scores, which includes the themes for Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Jaws, Jurassic Park, and many more.

This weekend, legendary composer and conductor Addie MS and his Twilite Orchestra are going to perform Williams’ instantly recognizable film scores for classical music lovers in Jakarta. This special performance marks the 25th anniversary of the Twilite Orchestra, which Addie MS founded.

Judging from the poster above, in which Addie MS can be seen holding his baton like he’s wielding a Sith lightsaber, it looks like the night will be just as enjoyable for movie fans as it will be for classical music enthusiasts.

And the night promises to be as epic as the film scores themselves. Addie MS and the Twilite Orchestra are going to be backed by 100 choir members from the Twilite Chorus, PSM Universitas Mercu Buana, and Panduan Suara Gita Swara Jaya.
