Exi(s)t#7: from Another Time 

An exhibition taking place at dia.lo.gue in Kemang, “From Another Time” presents works by eight Jakarta-based artists in response to the theme “alternative history”, works that intersect with the past in an attempt to influence or disrupt the increasing polarization of society. Featuring the works of Alexandra Karyn, Aziz Amri, Ella Wijt, Rummana Yamanie,  Semburat (Aditya H. Martodiharjo & Indira Larasati),  Sherchle,  Tandika Cendrawan and Yovista Ahtajida. Why Festival (Sat-Sun)

Taking place at Rossi Musik on Fatmawati, this “small, intimate, diverse music and market festival” is taking place across the complex’s three venues and will feature an eclectic lineup of 30 great local indie bands and 5 DJs as well as a market with 25 tenants, talk shows and movie screenings. Yes, this event taking place at Senayan City this weekend is ultimately about branding and getting more customers to shop using Lazada (entrance is free, if you have their app on your phone) but Wow Fest also promises a lot of great music — including performances by Maliq & D’Essentials, The Upstairs, Stars and Rabbit, and Ramengvrl — as well as art installations by 15 talented Indonesian artists.
