Sinetron “actor” Eza Gionino was arrested for drugs consumption on August 1, but it’s unclear if he’s going to be jailed or if he will have to attend rehab.
Well, one option clearly sounds better than the other for Eza’s family.
Agung Yudha Adhi Nugraha, deputy head of the Narcotics Unit at the South Jakarta Police, said Eza’s family filed a request so that the 25-year-old actor can attend rehab in place of going to prison.
“[The request] was already filed, it will be processed by the BNK (South Jakarta National Narcotics Body),” Agung said today, as quoted by Kompas.
Agung added that Eza’s fate ultimately rests in the hands of prosecutors and judges.
Eza was arrested after he was caught smoking meth at his residence in Cikeas, Bogor. He is currently in custody at the South Jakarta Police Precinct, and could face up to 12 years in prison for drug abuse.
But justice favors the rich and famous in Indonesia, so we’re willing to bet that Eza will only get sent to rehab.
