If they don’t have a change of heart, English pop-rock band The 1975 is set to return to Jakarta for a concert this year.

As confirmed by promoters Sound Rhythm and TND Live in an Instagram post yesterday, the Manchester quartet will hold their concert on September 29 at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Stadium’s Helipad Parking Ground.

Ticket sales will commence next Tuesday, July 17, at noon. At the moment, you can leave your email on TND Live’s website to get notified when tickets go on sale.

The 1975 is currently going on a world tour to promote their latest album, A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships, which kicked off in October of last year. The band, consisting of members who all became mates in high school, have also made appearances at several of the world’s biggest music festivals such as Coachella and Lollapalooza.

Before Jakarta, the band will also be hitting Seoul, Hong Kong, Manila, Bangkok, and Singapore in the Asian leg of the tour. However, their Jakarta concert is not yet included in the band’s schedule, as seen on their official website

This will be the second time for Matty Healy, Adam Hann, Ross MacDonald, and George Daniel to play in the Indonesian capital, as they previously performed in We The Fest festival in 2016.

Since their formation in 2002, The 1975 have released three studio albums: The 1975 (2013), I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful yet so Unaware of It (2016), A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships (2018). They are slated to release their fourth album sometime this year, titled Notes on a Conditional Form.
