Kabul Basuki, better known as the cross-dressing comedian ‘Tessy’ in the comedy group Srimulat, has apparently lost almost 30 kg of weight ever since he was arrested for an alleged drug abuse back in October last year.
“Tessy weighed 67 kg when he was arrested and now he only weighs 40 kg. We’ll look into his mental state, but there are clear signs of depression,” said Afdhal Muhammad, Tessy’s legal representation, as quoted by Berita Satu yesterday.
Tessy attended his first court trial at the Bekasi District Court yesterday, where the Public Prosecutor charged him with several drug abuse violations.
Tessy’s lawyer is attempting to make the case that Tessy should be rehabilitated instead of being sent to jail.
