Comedian Pepeng passes away at 60 from multiple sclerosis

Comedian Ferrasta Soebardi, more commonly known in the entertainment industry as Pepeng, passed away at Cinere Hospital, South Jakarta, today.

“[Pepeng] passed away at 10:08 am at Cinere Hospital,” said Kinana, a friend of Pepeng’s, as quoted by Metro TV today.

Pepeng had been suffering from multiple sclerosis. He died at the age of 60.

Pepeng’s funeral is being held in his home in Depok.The comedian was well known for roles in such films as Rojali dan Juleha (1979), Sama-Sama Enak (1986), and Anunya Kamu (1986). He’s also well known among the current generation as the host of the popular quiz show Jari-Jari, which began in 1992.
