Today marks the start of the annual Festival Printemps Français culturefest put on every year by Institut Français d’Indonésie. To celebrate the opening of this Gallic gala, a group of glam rockers from France, Fancy, will be performing for free at Taman Suropati in Menteng starting at 7:30 pm.
The musical trio from Paris should be an interesting fit for Taman Suropati. Taking their inspiration from androgynous glam rockers like David Bowie and Adam Ant, their flamboyant style and funktastic musical stylings have made them one of France’s most eclectic musical exports. Their reputation for putting on over-the-top theatrical stage shows should make this a must see for anybody interested in a little Francophile fun tonight.
