Bon Jovi fans in Indonesia will be delighted to know that the band has arrived safe and sound in Jakarta ahead of their hotly anticipated concert tomorrow.
According to Kimberley Fraser, managing director of concert organizer Live Nation, the New Jersey legends touched down in the capital some time this morning.
“The band [Bon Jovi] has arrived in Jakarta,” she said as quoted by Tempo.
The band also confirmed their arrival in Jakarta with this priceless photo, which was uploaded on Twitter, showing lead singer Jon Bon Jovi and keyboardist David Bryan posing with two ondel-ondel puppets:
And boy, do they look old. After all, it has been 20 years since the band performed in Jakarta.
Tickets to the concert have reportedly already sold out, but if you’re desperate and don’t have a ticket yet, you can try your luck at www.bonjovijakarta.com (beware of websites selling fake tickets) or buy tickets directly from the ticket box at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) stadium in Senayan, South Jakarta.
We should also advise you to avoid Senayan if you can starting tomorrow afternoon. Based on past experience, the roads surrounding GBK usually get completely macet whenever there’s a massive event at the stadium.
