Djakarta Warehouse Project is not only Indonesia’s biggest electronic dance music festival, it is also one of the biggest in all of Asia, attracting EDM fans from around the region with its stellar lineup of DJ giants and superstar selectors.
Now in its seventh year, Djakarta Warehouse Project, produced by Ismaya Live, continues to grow in stature and strength. Last year it doubled the fun by expanding from one nights to two, a format it will be following again this year. Last year it also moved inside the spacious confines of JIExpo Kemayoran, ensuring that there’s no way that that the rainy season can put a stop to the DWP party train.
This year’s lineup somehow manages to surpass previous years in terms of star power, with many of the top DJs on the planet descending on Jakarta for highly anticipated sets.
Dutch legend van Buuren has best declared the world’s #1 DJ a record 5 times by DJ Magazine and is without a doubt one of the best trance DJs on Earth.
Major Lazer is a duo, put together by two superstar producers, Diplo and Switch, which currently consists of Jillionaire and Walshy Fire. They are well known for mixing EDM with element of reggae, dancehall, reggaeton, and moombahton and working with artists including Pharrell Williams, Sean Paul and Snoop Lion.
Then there’s Jack Ü, another powerhouse duo consisting of the notorious Skrillex and Diplo, who have already worked a galaxy of stars including Missy Elliott, Diddy and CL and Kiesza. They’ll be making their first appearance together in Asia ever at DWP!
There are way too many other amazing musicians to go into in-depth here, but a few of the other hitmakers set to hit the decks at this year’s DWP include Andrew Rayel, DJ Snake, Cashmere Cat, Philip George, Galantis and so many more.
If you or a friend are coming from out of town for DWP, be sure to check out the festival’s official accomodations partner, Bobobobo, which is offering great packages and prices at a number of top hotels located within easy access of JIExpo Kemayoran.
Anybody who is a fan of EDM, clubbing, parties or just dancing your asses off should definitely be sure to head to DWP this year, because it’s unlikely we’ll see another night of dance music mania this amazing until next year.
