If you were in junior high or high school in mid 2000s, best believe that you listened to power pop band Hellogoodbye. The band recently confirmed that they’re coming to Jakarta on February 7, 2020 — so you can reminisce about your teenage years (which may include that time you found out that your crush didn’t like you back).
The intimate concert will be held at Panhead rooftop in Radio Dalam, South Jakarta, as part of Hellogoodbye’s Gimme Some Living Room tour. This will be the band’s third time performing in the capital, as they’d previously done in 2010 and 2013.

“The chance to go back to Jakarta, especially performing on the rooftop is very cool and I’m sure the show will be incredible because I’m the type of person who really likes outdoor environments,” Hellogoodbye’s vocalist and founder Forrest Kline said in a statement.
“I’m sure that the third time’s the charm, and I’m really happy to bring Hellogoodbye to perform in a more casual and intimate setting with their fans here, who have been waiting for six years,” Gloria Theana from Crowd Surfers, one of the concert’s organizers, was quoted as saying.
In this concert, Hellogoodbye will be performing in two sessions, consisting of acoustic and DJ sets. The band says they will donate the proceeds to plant one tree for every ticket sold.
Last month, Hellogoodbye teased their return to Jakarta in a throwback post on Instagram with photos from the 2013 concert, which they said “was a delight.”

Hellogoodbye was formed in 2001 in Huntington Beach, California as a recording project by Kline and Jesse Kurvink. They released their eponymous debut EP in 2004, followed with their first full-length album titled Zombies! Aliens! Vampires! Dinosaurs! in 2006.
The band, who has gone through several lineup changes over the years, toured as the opening act for rock band Paramore in 2013, and has released a total of four studio albums — the latest of which, S’Only Natural, was released last year.
The current members of the band other than Kline are Adam James, Augustine Rampolla, and Eric Hehr.
More information about the concert can be found on the organizers’ official Instagram accounts, Widelanes and Crowd Surfers. Let’s refresh our memory before the concert with a few of Hellogoodbye’s hits:
