One of Indonesia’s biggest and longest-running annual art fairs, Art Jakarta is celebrating its 11th anniversary and is a great opportunity for art collectors and enthusiasts to get an overview of Indonesia’s contemporary art scene. It will features hundreds of pieces from many of the country’s top galleries.

Featuring 44 F&B tenants offering an array of tasty delights, the Jakarta Eat Festival will also offer foodies a number of talkshows and workshops featuring some of Indonesia’s most renowned chefs and food experts.

“Xu Bing: Thought and Method” at Museum Macan

Xu Bing is a renowned Chinese artist who is known for his profound printmaking skills and intricate installations pieces that creatively juxtapose images with language, words, and text to show they affect our understanding of the world. “Xu Bing: Thought and Method” is the first and biggest Xu Bing’s retrospective exhibition in South East Asia as well as his first major solo presentation in Indonesia. It will feature over 60 of his works created over 40 years, including drawings, prints, installations, films and archival material. The exhibition is a collaboration between Museum MACAN and the UCCA Center for Contemporary Art in Beijing.

The Trees & The Wild Live in Concert




The Trees & The Wild is one Jakarta’s most beloved indie bands, known for their mesmerizing musical blend of ambient, post-rock and folk elements all filtered through their uniquely Indonesian sonic sensibilities. They’ll be playing an intimate concert at Rossi Musik this Saturday.
