Joyland Festival Jakarta is shaping up to be an interesting entry in the capital’s gigs calendar this year, as Alvvays and Interpol were named headliners of the major event.

Fresh off Joyland Festival Bali in March, which saw M.I.A., Phoenix, and Sigrid headlining, festival promoter Plainsong Live announced the addition of Canadian indie pop band Alvvays to Joyland Festival Jakarta’s growing roster of acts, following last week’s announcement of New York rock band Interpol.

Joyland Festival Jakarta is set to be held from Nov. 24 to 26 at an as-of-yet undisclosed venue. More acts are expected to be announced in the near future.

Plainsong Live last week held the first presale for Joyland Festival Jakarta, during which all 3-day passes (IDR488K each) were sold out. The second presale starts at 12pm today, during which fans can look to purchase 3-day passes for IDR688K each.

You can buy tickets at Joyland Festival’s official website.

Alvvays, renowned for hit singles such as Archie, Marry Me and Dreams Tonite, made their Jakarta debut at We The Fest in 2019. Interpol, arguably one of the biggest names in the global indie rock scene through hit singles such as Evil and Obstacle 1, has never played in the Indonesian capital before.
