Today is Mexican Independence Day but if you can wait until Sunday to celebrate you can enjoy a fantastic deal at Casa Mexico in Senayan. For Rp 250k you get access to a seafood buffet as well as free flow beer and margaritas. Now that’s a fiesta. From 1pm-4pm. For more info

Dance with robots at Heineken Green Room at X2

To be honest we’re not totally sure what this event is all about, but the marketing copy says that Heineken Green Room is a musical experiment that combines innovation, Electronic Dance Music, and our senses” and features “the latest Sonic Droids technology, which enables its user to not only listen to the music, but also touch it too.” Based on this promotional video we found, we think that means you’ll get to dance around crazy glowing robots, which seems pretty cool to us. X2, Plaza Senayan, starts at 9pm.
