Catch a charity screening of the critically acclaimed film “Carol” (Sunday)

“Carol” was hailed as one of the best films of 2015 and earned six Oscar nominations, including nods for lead actresses Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara. The gorgeous film about the forbidden love between two women in America in the 1950s seems especially relevant to Indonesia today. But, perhaps due to its themes, “Carol” was never shown in theaters here. Now you can have a chance to watch it on the big screen at a special charity screening this Sunday at Parc19 in Kemang. Tickets are Rp 200k and 75% of the proceeds are going to ANT Charity, which strives to provide quality healthcare and education services to disadvantaged children in remote areas of Indonesia. Food and free-flow popcorn will be provided. Doors open at 6pm. To reserve a seat, call Parc19 at +62 21 719 9988.
