Fall in love with a good book at Pojok Buku
A lot of people love nothing more than to head to a cafe and reading a good book. That love is usually celebrated on a solitary basis, but what if cafe-book lovers had a place to share their literary passions with others?
That’s the goal behind this weekend’s Pojok Buku (Book Corner) events that are being held by POST this month. One event taking place this weekend at the fantastic 1/15 Coffee is “Blind Date with a Book”, in which visitors are invited to pick from POST’s curated collection of books based on their opening sentence.
But for book lovers who are feeling romance this weekend, POST’s headquarters in Pasar Santa is also hosting an art exhibition called “Reimagining Heartbreak” featuring three local artists reinterpreting the cover of books that remind them of heartbreak including “A Night without Armor by Jewel” for Atreyu Moniaga (@atreist), “Eleven Minutes” by Paulo Coelho for Ayu Dila Martina (@ayudilamar), and Gadis Pantai by Pramoedya Ananta Toer for Feransis (@tuhanzilla). POST is also inviting guests to a special open mic to share stories about their “happiest heartbreaks”.
