Did you know that Jakarta has a large, active and extremely talented bellydancing community? The finest performers of the oriental art will be strutting their stuff this Sunday at Bellydance Jakarta’s 10th Anniversary show at Hotel Borobudur. This year’s show will feature over 50 dancers including special guest master teacher Tamalyn Dallal from the USA and Indonesian bellydance icon Christine Yaven. Basrizal is an alumni of the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Yogyakarta and creates fascinating works of art using ancient materials including petrified wood and precious stones. His works will be on display at Galeri Seni Kemang 58 until Dec 20.
