Go on the hunt for vintage goods at the Santa Flea Market
Pasar Santa is not the happening hipster hotspot that it once was, and many of its most popular food stalls are making more of their sales off of Go-Jek deliveries than in-house customers. But Santa remains a concentrated collection of cool, and one of the best places in town to look for vintage goods and hard to find vinyl. If you haven’t been to Santa in ages, this weekend’s Santa Flea Market is a good reason to return, with plenty of unique toys, fashion and music on offer.
Indulge in ultimate gluttony at the Dharmawangsa Easter Brunch (Sunday)
Easter has different meaning for different people, but for some the most important aspect of Easter is the crazy indulgent brunches. Just about all of the big hotels in Jakarta will be hosting their own special Easter Brunch specials, but our pick is The Dharmawangsa’s super luxurious Easter buffet at their Jakarta restaurant. Caviar, AOC French cheese, foie gras station, lobster thermidor, Greek spit roasted lamb, it’s all there and much more, plus live entertainment and easter kids activities. Such an opulent spread doesn’t come cheap (Rp 988k++ for adults, Rp 1,588k++ for adult with free flow beer, wine, cocktails and sparkling wine, Rp 688k++ for kids) but you could justify it as a once-a-year indulgence. The Dharmawangsa Jakarta, Jl. Brawijaya Raya No. 26, Kebayoran Baru. Ph: 021 725 8181

Boogie with British DJ duo Bondax (Saturday night)
For the peak of the Foundry 8’s anniversary month, they are bringing over English DJ duo extraordinaire Bondax. The group’s sound has often been described as genre-transcending; Moses Wiener of Dazed called their sound “the aural equivalent of sipping an ice-cold Pimms on the balcony of your council estate flat.”
