Get Some Green and Healthy Goodies at “Eat Local” in Kemang (Sept 26-27)

Locavorism, the food philosophy of eating stuff grown near you to increase flavor and decrease negative environmental impacts, is slowly taking root in Jakarta. If you want to get your hands on some of the finest locally-grown produce in the capital, you should head down to Kemang today or tomorrow to check out the “Eat Local” event at The Stacks Burger.

There’s a farmer’s market with lots of fresh veggies and herbs for purchase as well as other wholesome goodies. There will also be a workshops on topics such as making butter and raw foods. The event goes until 5pm today and from 10am to 2pm tomorrow. Check out the photos from #ayoeatlocal to get an idea of what to expect.
