An increasing number of Bali-based brands have been expanding to Jakarta in the past couple of years, with Livingstone Café & Bakery becoming the latest addition to the list.
Livingstone first opened on Petitenget in 2013, and it has become one of the most well-known artisan bakeries on the island ever since. Opening in late March, the Jakarta café joined a slew of familiar F&B brands at Cove at Batavia, an open-air hangout complex on Pantai Indah Kapuk’s Golf Island in North Jakarta.
Aside from a selection of croissants and other pastries, you’ll find an all-day brunch menu at Livingstone with items such as The Baker’s Scrambled Egg Croissant (IDR105,000), Hongkong Style PB n J (IDR85,000), and The Full English Bunny Breakfast (IDR125,000), which is a brioche bucket of sausages, bacon, sautéed spinach, roasted mushrooms, and baked beans.
If you go there, be sure to have your pastries or brunch with caffeine, featuring Livingstone’s house blends, namely their signature Petitenget Blend with tasting notes of chocolate, hazelnut, and hints of tangerine; or the Jakarta-exclusive The Cove Blend with dark chocolate, caramel, and nougat notes.
If you prefer a boozy brunch, you can choose from Livingstone’s signature brunch cocktails (IDR110,000 each), such as the Petitenget Martini and The Bedugul Garden.
Aside from the brunch menu lineup, Livingstone Jakarta also has a wide selection of all-day dining menu including salads, sandwiches and burgers, pastas and pizzas, a variety of steaks, and their favorite Balinese local feast with items such as Balinese Bebek Crispy (IDR120,000), Jimbaran Style Grilled Barramundi (IDR110,000), and the Basa Genep Pork Ribs (IDR150,000). All prices are subject to taxes and charges.
