Addicts of % Arabica can now go straight to the source of that fresh coffee bean aroma as the Kyoto-based coffee shop chain has opened its first roasting facility in Indonesia.
% Arabica Jakarta Roastery opened its doors in November, becoming the fourth outlet in the capital (and the fifth overall in Indonesia, with one outlet located in Bali) since the chain first arrived in Jakarta in February 2021.
Located on Jalan Taman Gunawarman Timur No. 6 in South Jakarta, the roastery is a key bean supply source for % Arabica’s outlets in Indonesia, while also serving as a coffee shop at the same time.
The showpiece at the site is undoubtedly the Probat UG22 vintage coffee roaster, as the building is designed around the German-made machine. The UG22 can roast around 22 kilograms of coffee beans per batch.
% Arabica’s signature lattes and the popular Coffee and Matcha % Soft Cream are also available at % Arabica Jakarta Roastery.
