Many restaurants in Jakarta and other cities in Indonesia have been closed since the #StayAtHome advisory was issued in mid-March, and with the Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) now in place in several regions, including Jakarta, most are only open for delivery.
We may not be able to go to our favorite places for the time being, but a number of restaurants are now offering special packages to be enjoyed at home, aside from the usual app-based food delivery services we’ve all been relying on.

Animale Restaurant
Animale, the “progressive American cuisine with Mediterranean flavors” restaurant, offers takeaway specials as well as ready-to-cook pizza and pasta essentials — including pre-baked pizza base, artisan dried pasta, sliced charcuteries, and sauces. Burgreens, one of the pioneer plant-based restaurants in Jakarta, have offered the option of frozen vegan/vegetarian dishes since their early days. Now, these might come in handy especially at a time when you’re missing Burgreen’s signature healthy meals, such as mushroom and spinach chickpea patties, chick’n satay and katsu, and vegan rendang and sausages.

Cocktails To Go by Mone
Cocktails in a bottle is an invention that we didn’t know we needed, ‘nuff said. Quite a selection are on offer, from Negroni, Sangria, to Old Fashioned. Don’t worry if you’re still new to home bartending, as they also provide the garnishes and mixing instructions.

Missing your partying days at Holywings? You can now bring the experience home — albeit more lowkey — by ordering the #StayAtHome packages, which include their signature Holy Fried Chicken and a la carte rice bowls. A ready-to-cook menu is also available, such as the signature chicken wings and pentol (similar to bakso meatballs, but contains more tapioca flour than meat).

One of the most popular Italian restaurants in Jakarta have long been serving takeaways and ready-to-cook house-made fresh pasta and sauce, but now’s the right time to bring out the chef in you — if you’re up for it. Literally meaning “vegetable plate,” the vegetarian/vegan catering and delivery service is selling frozen vegan pempek (South Sumatran fish cake delicacy) with ready-to-use cuko (sweet and sour sauce) and vegan rendang. Or, if you don’t feel like cooking, you can just order their plant-based catering packages.

The Argentinian steak house is now offering the Sudestada-To-Go menu, which includes Sliced Spanish Iberico Ham for appetizers, empanadas, and house specialties such as chuletón (bone-attached rib steak). The Union Group
Those who frequent either Union or Cork & Screw after work or on the weekends are probably yearning for their go-to orders just now — but fear not, as The Union Group recently announced that they’re open for food and cocktails delivery.
