Video: How to eat Padang food with your hands like a real Indonesian

Eating Padang food is a daily or at least weekly event for manys Jakartans. Still, we know a lot of you stick to a spoon and fork to dig into your rendang instead of going at it with your fingers like the people of Padang do.

While you’re free to choose utensil, this helpful video produced by Coconuts TV (with the help of the Coconuts Jakarta crew) will show you how and why you should eat with your hands (as well as give you a few other pointers on Padang politeness that you may not know about).
