She apparently thought she’d be edgy and cool. Netizens, however, thought “stupid” was a better way to describe ignoring a safety barrier and dangling your legs from a high-rise rooftop.
And we’d be hard pressed not to agree after watching this clip of the unidentified woman making a show of ‘relaxing’ atop a Hong Kong hotel in a bathing suit by sitting on the edge of a 33 story building.
The building the woman was perched on was later identified by Apple Daily as Twenty One Whitfield, a boutique hotel in Causeway Bay that boast panoramic views of the city, and is at least 33-storeys high.
It is not clear exactly who posted the video, and when this stunt took place, but that hasn’t stopped the video from generating a bit of buzz among Hongkongers on Facebook, with netizens calling the woman “crazy” and “stupid”.
Coming after last week’s sordid social media shenanigans of a Taiwanese model having her breasts squeezed in various public areas around Hong Kong, the clip showcases once again what people are willing to do for a bit of online fame.
Need we remind people about the fate of the Chinese daredevil who fell to his death after filming himself hanging off the edge of a building last year?
