Police arrived at the scene and interrogated the 40-year-old man, surnamed So. In clips filmed by an Apple Daily reporter, he is seen sitting on a step outside the house gate in a white t-shirt, shorts and slippers as he fielded their questions.

Officers confirmed that the man is not a burglar. The case, initially filed as a robbery, was re-classified as a misunderstanding.

Nobody was injured in the incident, and no property damage was recorded.
