Pim Kleawthanonk had no idea that inside the scrawny, sick kitty she discovered was a totally adorable fatty whose popularity would explode over the internet and rain superheated meow mix into our social media feeds.

It was just this morning that the kitty’s fans convinced Pim to launch a fan page for this amazing-looking creature, which in just hours has racked up more than 35,000 followers, possibly setting a new record in Thai cat internet fame, if anyone kept track of such things.

Thailand, meet Cow Milk. We reached out to Pim to find out how she (the cat) got so delightfully curvy. It turns out Cow Milk’s origin story begins two years ago in western metro Bangkok.

“Cow Milk is a stray I found in Nakhon Pathom city. When I found her, she was extremely skinny and weak; you might not even recognize her at all,” she said.

Total kitty transformation.

It took Pim two years to fatten the kitty up. Of the three felines she owns – all rescues – Pim said Cow Milk is by far the chunkiest.

“Cow Milk loves to eat. She eats a lot. Other cats like to run around and play, but not her. All she does is eat and sleep,” she said, chuckling.

Cow Milk piqued online attention when Pim posted her photos on two Facebook groups during the weekend. Within hours, she had become the internet’s latest obsession earning fans far and wide.

“I love all animals, I don’t care how skinny or ugly or weak they are. I want to take them all in, give them homes and provide them with a good life,” Pim said, adding that her own life has been better since adopting Cow Milk. Perhaps it’s good karma or something, she wondered aloud.

Keep on doing your thing, Cow Milk. You’re one of the last good things found online.
