Cats? Wanna squeeze them all. Police? That’s another matter. But put them together, and “police cats” are what’s stealing our hearts today.

Who knew Thai cops were so crazy about cats before they started going viral online this week. Stretching out on desks, standing by as reports are written or just catting around the station, these wonderful cop cats are making police stations into unexpectedly adorable places.

It’s not just us, photos of these Cat Officers are winning hearts far and wide. Many of the images feature one fine feline at Bangkok’s northern Bang Sue station. She even proudly sports an employee ID card identifying her as “Noongmanee.”

In the north, Chiang Mai can sleep more soundly now that new recruit Seau, or Tiger, has joined the force.

We haven’t seen this much bureaucratic tail since a former transportation minister became famous for his cat underlings. Also outing himself as a cat nerd earlier this year was former prime minister Abhisit “Mark” Vejjajiva, who went public with his cat fancy shortly after his political career collapsed.

But that’s enough of that, here are the cats!
