The body of a Caucasian man yesterday was found weighed down with rocks off a popular island destination off the coast from Pattaya.

At around 1:30pm, the body of the foreign man, whose name and nationality are yet to be identified, was found floating about 400 meters off Koh Larn. Rocks had been tied around his neck, and he was believed to have been dead for two days, according to Lt. Col. Attarot Krongrat of Pattaya police.

Found along with the man was a black bag carrying a phone charging cable, neck pillow, belt and several personal items.

Police are investigating the cause of the man’s death. His body was sent for autopsy.

Investigators have yet to rule it a murder or suicide. They urged the public to contact the police if they know of any foreign tourist who has gone missing in recent days.
