In the next week, you’ll see Bali go through a transformation as the island gears up for the Galungan holiday.
Penjor, those long bamboo poles decorated with coconut leaves that look so characteristically Bali will be lining the streets. They’ll be placed in front of homes and businesses for Galungan, which falls on September 7 this year, through Kuningan on September 17.
