Worst Valentine’s Day Ever: Man gets played by serial motorbike thief

Valentine’s Day sure went horribly wrong for one middle aged Bali man who was just looking for a good time.

A 26-year-old woman had quite the scam worked out by allegedly offering “the warmth of her body” to distract men while she stole their motorbikes.

Dewi had successfully conned two men of their motorbikes, but didn’t get away with it on her third attempt, Tribun Bali reports.

The woman was arrested by West Denpasar police at Hotel Mawar on Jl. Diponegoro, Denpasar on Feb. 15.

Apparently Dewi would woo her marks and conquer their hearts. Her alleged Valentine’s Day victim was 41-year-old Made Amin, who she was introduced to over the phone—which sounds a bit sketchy and like an escort to us (especially given their age difference, not that we’re judging), but this was not specified in the Tribun Bali report.

According to the report, right on Valentine’s Day at around 2 pm, the two agreed to meet at  the Hotel Nikki on Jl. Pidada, Denpasar. After a sexual encounter, Amin says he headed to the bathroom to get cleaned up.

At that time, Dewi said that she would go out to buy a drink, but instead took the bike and ran, she confessed to the press this Tuesday.

When Dewi appeared to never be coming back, Amin got a bad feeling and decided to go home. After hearing nothing, he reported Dewi to Denpasar police.

“Once we got the report, we immediately investigated,” I Made Joni Antara Putra, Denpsar Police, said on Tuesday. “We immediately secured the perpetrator the next day,” added Putra, making sure to brush a little dirt off his shoulder.
