An unidentified Caucasian woman appeared to sustain a head injury during an altercation with a security guard in Seminyak, viral footage shows, though it’s unclear at this point what triggered the violence.
According to reports obtained from witnesses at the scene, a fight broke out in front of a Cocomart convenience store on Jalan Kayu Aya in North Kuta on Friday evening. Video footage shows a man, who called himself a security guard and is identified by the initials IWG (42), pushing the woman down to the ground. She is then seen clutching the top of her head as blood oozed out.
Some reports say that prior to the incident, the woman had just been kicked out of the nearby La Favela nightclub over a row with her friends. The security guard was a bouncer from the nightclub who took the argument outside and attempted to diffuse the situation.
Some witnesses say that prior to being pushed, the woman, in her drunken stupor, slapped a random street kid in the area, angering IWG.
The woman and her group of friends eventually fled from the chaos in the area.
Police say they have not received any reports about the incident, but have nevertheless launched an investigation into possible assault.
