Kadek Sudana got the shock of his life yesterday morning when he saw a woman hanging in the bathroom of his Peri Geri, Jimbaran boarding house.
“I really had no idea, my original intention was to go to the bathroom. As soon as I opened the door, there was a woman hanging in my bathroom,” he said when questioned by South Kuta police.
He also identified the deceased woman as Ni Made Ayoni, from Karyasari Village, Tabanan, reports Tribun Bali. “I think she studied at Udayana University, in the Fisheries Department.
During his stay at the boarding house, Sudana says he knew Ayoni to be friendly and she tended to be quiet. So, he says he never would imagine her to take such a desperate action.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of South Kuta Police I Nyoman Darsana said from witness testimonies, it is believed that Ayoni was stressed from not having enough money to afford university costs.
“Her parents were sick at home, while she had not yet paid tuition fees. Since she had not paid the fees, she was told to leave by the university,” Darsana said, as quoted by Tribun Bali.
