Widow of murdered Bali policeman turns down Sara Connor, alleged killer’s donation

The widow of murdered Bali policeman Wayan Sudarsa is refusing to accept any compensation from one of her husband’s alleged killers, Australian woman Sara Connor.

Connor and British boyfriend David Taylor are both on trial for the killing of Sudarsa, whose body was found brutally battered on Kuta Beach in August 2016

The slain cop’s wife, Ketut Arsini, reportedly said in court on Tuesday that there was no way she would take a “donation” from Connor, not “event a cent from her”.

“I want the court to give the maximum punishment that fits what she did, based on Indonesian laws,” AAP quoted Arsini as saying.

This “donation” was no small thing either. Connor said in a letter read in court that she had offered Arsini Rp 25 million after Sudarsa’s death.

Throughout the whole trial, Connor has maintained her innocence, in spite of the charges against her of murder, fatal assault in company and assault causing death.
