Indonesian actor Nicholas Saputra, 33, apparently did not stand idly by when he witnessed a pair of foreigners trying to break traffic rules and scoot on by over the sidewalk he was walking on.

In a video clip now gone viral, a man who appears to be the Ada Apa dengan Cinta star stands his ground as a pair of foreigners on a motorbike try to drive over the sidewalk.

The purported Saputra says something that unfortunately the video didn’t pick up and keeps it cool, refusing to let the motorbike pass, until the foreigners are forced to go back down onto the street and drive off.

The video has gotten over 6,000 retweets since it was first posted to Twitter by “Deri Jindhär” on Friday.

According to the original tweet, the video was captured by his friend in Bali.

Saputra, regarded by some as something of the Leonard DiCaprio of Indonesia, has not publicly commented on the viral video, nor has he confirmed that it is indeed him playing traffic cop.

Though it can be quite commonplace to witness people trying to bypass traffic and drive motorbikes on the sidewalk in Bali, the punishment for getting caught doing so can be fairly severe. According to the head of Jakarta Municipal Police, Yani Wahyu Purwoko, people found violating traffic rules and driving on the sidewalk could get punished with a minimum of 10 days jail and a max time of 60 days, or a fine of at least IDR100,000 (US$7.50) and a cap of IDR20 million (US$1,509).
