While we often hear of dogs being rescued in Bali, one dog did the rescuing itself.
A little girl had been in a coma and wouldn’t wake up. That is until one day when her father brought a dog home to her bedside, she finally came back. Gung Dewi’s amazing, heart-warming story is told in a video by the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW).
Since the dog helped save her, Gung Dewi and her family have essentially built a dog sanctuary, taking care of stray dogs from a nearby cemetery—popular dumping sites for dogs in Indonesia.
