Clips of a man arguing with and physically assaulting a woman after she allegedly refused to have sex with him has gained traction on social media, with police now saying that they will look into the posted allegations.
The man, who is reportedly a foreign national, allegedly assaulted an Indonesian woman who works as a masseuse after she rejected his invite to have sex.
The incident reportedly occurred in Seminyak on Sunday, with videos showing the man arguing with the woman, switching between Indonesian and English, and telling her to leave. Another clip also showed the man slapping the phone away from the woman.

These videos have also made their rounds on social media, with Balinese designer and politician Niluh Djelantik among those posting them on her account.
With the man’s alleged sexual advances occurring off camera, it’s not immediately clear if that was the sole trigger to the heated exchange. However, the man and the woman can vaguely be heard arguing over other matters including rent and other violations of the law.
Police are reportedly aware of the clips, however, and have said that they will look into the incident.
