The last thing Bali needs is more rubbish with all of its environmental issues, but apparently that doesn’t stop some people from littering.
People in a silver Toyota Avanza with a Jakarta license plate were caught on camera dumping trash out the window in Canggu, Bali.
Footage of these litterers has now gone viral, since a video (with some mood-setting background music) was posted to YouTube on June 25, 2015, while people have also continued to share the footage on Facebook.
Posted by a man who identifies himself as Made Tommy Brahmaputra on Facebook, the video’s description states that hopefully shaming this kind of behavior will help raise awareness:
Here’s a short video showing what ‘Trash Tourists’ look like in action. Before i began to shoot the video they had already thrown out trash along the road several times and they just kept going. I decided the best i can do is to dedicate a short video to them. Who knows, perhaps it might serve as preventive and enlighten a few souls who are caught in the habit of throwing out thrash from the car. It all about awareness, that with every right comes a responsibility.
