A video of foreign tourists getting into a fight in Sanur yesterday went viral on social media. The heated brawl involved several people but was quickly broken up by the local traditional police.
In the video, two men appeared to be hitting another clothed in black, while others quickly try to put a stop to it. One of them can be heard cursing over and over while a woman desperately attempts to calm them down.

Pecalang (traditional Balinese security forces) and locals in the area tried to diffuse the situation as well, as reported by Detik.
“I’m not really sure what happened at first either, but it was in front of a jewelry shop in Sanur, when suddenly there was a sound of glass breaking, and people were fighting right in front of Hardys Sanur,” Cok Kris Bhagawantha, who recorded the scene, told Detik.
The video also showed broken glasses on the sidewalk right in front of a shop.
According to South Denpasar Police I Nyoman Wirajaya, police has yet to receive any reports regarding the incident.
“There are no reports, it’s just a misunderstanding according to security around the area, and they paid for the damages,” Wirajaya told Detik.
