Uluwatu: Jetski hits surfer, Single Fin owner says surfer is ‘ok and home now’

Bali’s raging roads aren’t the only spots prone to dangerous collisions on the island.

A jetski that was apparently trying to tow in a friend, ran over a surfer in Uluwatu on Monday morning, when waves were in the six to eight foot range.

Single Fin owner and co-founder Tai Graham posted an update about the incident to his Facebook page. Graham wrote that the surfer “is ok and home now”, but he came out with a painful head wound that got closed up with 12 stitches, in addition to suffering multiple fractures in his nose. The picture with the update shows the man with a bloodied head.

Graham wrote that he talked to the two “clowns on the ski’s” to let them “know what’s up!”.

Pictures posted to local surfing site Indo Surflife show the calamitous chain of events, as the jetski comes down on the surfer.

A post by the surfing site claims the jetski driver is one of the owners at a nearby surf resort at Padang Padang.
