Denpasar Narcotics Police has arrested two people in possession of almost seven kilograms of magic mushrooms.
“We have secured two suspects who are selling magic mushrooms from cow dung,” Denpasar Deputy Police Chief Nyoman Artana told Tribun Bali on Tuesday.
Artana said the two men arrested, who were both reported as Kuta residents, had a combined 6.5 kilograms of magic mushrooms.
The suspects were identified in reports as NS, 40, who had 2.5 kilograms and KW, 35, who had 4 kilograms.
“The evidence based on their reports is that they were often selling mushrooms from cow dung,” Artana said.
Magic mushrooms are categorized here as Class I narcotics and are in the same category as meth and marijuana.
