It’s not everyday a two-headed piglet is born, but that day happened to be Thursday.
I Ketut Meli, a resident of Kutuh Village in Ubud was awakened quickly on Thursday evening around 9 pm to the sound of pigs squealing.
Meli says he raced to the backyard of his house to see what the commotion was.
“I was dozing in my room. But the pigs in the cage were loud. I think it bothered the lubak (weasel). It gave birth to 10 pups,” the 35-year-old told Tribun Bali.
As he got closer, he says there was something off about the newborn piglets.
“But oddly, one piglet had two heads on one body,” Meli said.
From the newspaper’s observations, the piglet sadly died immediately after birth.
It apparently had two heads, three eyes, and two wide ears.
Rather than reveling in the wonders of nature, Meli seemed freaked out, telling Tribun that he would be performing a ceremony so no bad thoughts would haunt him and his family.
