Immigration officers stopped two Australians from entering Bali on separate occasions at Ngurah Rai International Airport last week.

Australian, MNM, was denied entry on Friday evening (March 24) on a Jetstar flight from Brisbane because of the Aussie’s involvement in a pedophilia case back home, Tribun Bali reports.

MNM was sent back to Brisbane on a flight via Sydney on Saturday.

The other Australian was flagged on Tuesday night when landing from Sydney on JQ 37. Indonesian immigration officers apparently had information from the Australian Federal Police (AFP) that CPR has been designated a sexual offender. As with the other Aussie, CPR was sent right back to Australia.

“At Ngurah Rai Airport, we must look out for those entering seeking asylum from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan. In addition to pedophiles. Working with countries across borders for reference,” Mayroto Sumadi, Immigration Traffic Director, said on Tuesday.

“We are continuing to tighten up screening at international airports and seaports for foreigners entering Indonesia.”
