We’ve seen plenty of “Aussies Behaving Badly in Bali” stories before, but this is easily among the worst. Footage emerged this week showing a group of Australian tourists — consisting of at least five men in their 20s — rampaging across the island while engaging in “disgusting” and “deeply disrespectful” behavior that has been widely criticized in the Australian media.

In the footage, the men can be seen urinating in public, hurling insults at locals, wrestling with an inflatable mascot, goading each other into stripping down in public and running around naked… and the list goes on.
According to 7News, the absolutely ridiculous video was recorded by the group’s Balinese tour guide, who later published it on his Snapchat account. It has been making its rounds on social media since, especially among Bali travel groups.
Their behavior has been widely condemned by their fellow Aussies as “terrible and disgusting”, some others even apologized for their countrymen’s bad behavior.
Speaking to 7News, Ross Taylor, the president of the Indonesia Institute, said the group’s behavior went way beyond harmless drunken antics and was highly disrespectful towards the Balinese people.
“I don’t think I’ve seen anything as obscene as what I’ve just seen. Something like this is seen as a mixture of offence, and disdain,” Taylor said.
