Tired of not getting results, ForBali, the organization behind the Tolak Reklamasi movement is bringing their grievances to Jakarta.
“We are here (in Jakarta) to convey what is happening in Bali, especially in Benoa. Jakarta is the center,” so people should be interested in what’s happening to the Indonesian environment, a spokesperson for the movement, Arie Suyasha, said yesterday to Liputan6.

According to Suyasha, Bali’s governor I Made Mangku Pastika is still pushing forward with the reclamation project despite vocal objections from the public and even the likes of Susi Pudjiastuti, Indonesia’s Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, who recently stopped in Bali.
While in Jakarta, ForBali hopes to get their voices heard by President Joko Widodo and his fellow ministers. Suyasha and comrades are challenging Jokowi to step up and revoke the presidential decree made by former Indonesian president, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono that put 700 hectares of Benoa Bay out of protected zoning.
