Three people have died on a 43 km stretch of Bali’s ‘skull route’ in less than a week

In the past five days, three people have died in separate accidents on the highway stretching from Denpasar to Gilimanuk, Bali.

The victims have been identified in reports as bus driver Didin Saepudin, 48, truck driver Muzammil, 39, and the victim of a hit and run, Ni Kadek Emy Utami, 25.

The dangerous route that stretches about 43 kilometers and passes through Tabanan, is nicknamed Jalur Tengkorak (skull route) because of its many sharp turns, climbs, and the high rate of accidents that take place there, according to Tribun Bali

Tabanan Police Chief I Gede Eka Putra Astawa says drivers should be alert when taking this route and we totally concur.
