After being transferred from Sanglah Hospital in Denpasar, Bali to the residence of her biological parents on Tuesday night, the body of eight-year-old Angeline was reportedly finally laid to rest.
When her body arrived in Banyuwangi, East Java, her body was greeted by thousands of people marching to pay their respects to her, reports Kompas.
The police even reportedly closed the main road from Banyuwangi to Jember was even closed by police so her body could be sent to the funeral home.
She was buried at Musala Al-Hidayah, near her grandmother’s house, according to Tribun Bali.
The body of the young girl was found dead, with signs of violence, in the home of her adoptive mother after she was missing for more than three weeks.
